No. IRCC’s visitor visa page asks for at least 6 months of account details, including balances. A balance letter is one number on one day. Six months of transactions show where the money came from, whether you can use it, and whether income keeps arriving. In Prabha v. Canada, 2026 FC 579 (30 April 2026), balance certificates without that history were not enough.

IRCC publishes no minimum dollar amount for a visitor visa. The June 2026 note does not ask for a bigger balance. It asks for three things a number cannot show: source, availability, and ongoing income. Akindumila v. Canada, 2025 FC 1382, calls that source, nature, and stability. A higher balance with the same gap fails again.

Three steps. (1) See which of the three this check failed. (2) Do not send the same statements again. IRCC says applying again with the same information will likely not change the decision (answer 1485). (3) Add the paper for the failed test only. Source needs the document behind the deposit. Availability needs the account in the payer’s name and withdrawable. Ongoing needs income that continues after the trip. Ties at home, and whether the trip looks temporary, are not in this check.

The same note calls this adequate financial establishment. The money has to support the visit and give a reason to leave when the stay ends. A higher number, with the same gap, does not.
