Ties filed from Singapore are the flat or the title, the school letter, and the job that continues
The flat or the title has to be in your name
An HDB flat is shown with the official flat details in the lessee’s name. Private property is a Singapore Land Authority title search. The name has to be yours or your spouse’s. A parent’s flat is not the exhibit.
School papers only if the children stay
Use the current report and a letter on the school’s letterhead that names you as the parent, for children who will still be in that school while you are in Canada. If they travel with you, those papers do not show a reason to return.
The job tie is a date after you land back
CPF contribution history and the employer letter show the job. An owned company uses the ACRA profile on the Singapore refusal page. The tie is a dated obligation after the trip: approved leave that ends, or a contract with a date after you return.
The papers, in English and Mandarin
- ACRA — 会计与企业管制局. BizFile business profile for a company or registered business, in the name on the account. The PDF itself is in English.
- IRAS NOA — 评税通知书. Notice of Assessment that covers the income in the statement. Employment income uses the CPF history instead of a company profile.
- CPF — 公积金. Contribution history when the credits are salary. It does not replace an ACRA profile if you claimed a company.
- HDB or title — 建屋发展局. HDB flat details, or a Singapore Land Authority title, in your name or your spouse’s.
Visitor visa (from outside Canada) — Singapore: 23 days
On September 22, 2026, IRCC's processing-time tool showed 23 days for Visitor visa (from outside Canada) when the country is Singapore. The tool updates weekly. 23 days is an estimate, not a date IRCC owes you. Add the biometrics appointment and the time for the passport to come back.
A Singapore passport does not use this visitor visa for a flight. Air travel on that passport is an electronic travel authorization (eTA, CAD $7). The 23 days and the CAD $100 table are for a passport that still needs a visitor visa, filed from Singapore.
What Canada charges — Singapore dollar on September 28, 2026
IRCC charges Canadian dollars. The SGD column is the ExchangeRate-API mid-market rate on September 28, 2026: S$0.9016 per CAD. A card issuer or a money changer will not use this rate. Confirm the CAD figure on the IRCC fee list.

A first-time applicant who must give biometrics pays CAD $185, about S$166.80, before any visa-application-centre service charge. Trip funds are a different test. The fee is not the funds.
The test does not change by country
Whether you will leave Canada is IRPR section 179. That rule is the same for every passport. Read the letter, change the file before you pay again, and treat a lump and weak ties as their own pages. This page is only the local paper.

The letter cites IRPR 179(b) when the officer wasn't satisfied you'll leave Canada. Read the factors under that line before you apply again.
