The officer did not believe the trip was temporary.

A visitor visa refusal letter with the temporary-stay sentence highlighted, beside a four-line itinerary and an Office of the Registrar convocation letter, with a burgundy passport and a red pen
The purpose of the applicant's visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application.

A wedding, a graduation, a sister in Brampton, or a two-week holiday can all get this line. On the graduation note it is sentence 2 of 7. It is 22 words. It names 0 dates, 0 papers, and 0 dollar figures. The officer is saying the dates, the host, and the reason do not match a stay that ends. A longer invitation makes it worse. A cover letter that repeats the form does not fix it.

The refused file names the month only. It does not name the arrival day or the departure day.

This is the third refusal on that file. The invitation said “for my graduation.” The only date on it was “September 2026.” Registrar letter: 0. Guest ticket: 0. The next file in that case study is one registrar letter with three facts, one guest ticket, and a 10-day itinerary at ±5 days around the ceremony. Three refusals are answered in a 2-page letter. The dollar column on this sentence stays 0. A higher balance is sentence 3. Sentence 6 is the decision.

What is ImmigrationDM?

ImmigrationDM makes it easy to respond to a Canada visitor visa refusal.

You can use the Refusal Analysis to read the officer's reasons and see the missing paper. It asks about country, purpose, funds, and home ties, then you paste the letter. You get the concerns in order and the documents that prove each claim.

The free checkers test the money side of the file before you submit. The Source of Funds Checker shows whether the file explains where the money came from. The Trip Cost Checker compares the trip you typed with the balance you typed.
