Philippine home ties are the title, the school letter, and the business still registered
The title comes from the Registry of Deeds
The Land Registration Authority keeps the Transfer Certificate of Title for land and the condominium certificate for a unit. Upload the title, or a certified copy, in your name or your spouse’s. A parent’s title is not your tie.
School records are local, and only if the children stay
Use the current report card and a letter on the school’s letterhead that names you as the parent. There is no single Department of Education form that replaces that letter. If the children travel with you, leave this exhibit out.
Registration is not the same as a reason to come back
DTI or SEC plus BIR show the business is real. That funds page is DTI, SEC, and BIR. The tie is a contract or a delivery dated after you return, in that same registered name.
The papers, in Filipino
- DTI — rehistrasyon ng business name. Department of Trade and Industry certificate. That is a sole proprietor. It is not the paper for a corporation.
- SEC — rehistrasyon ng korporasyon. Securities and Exchange Commission registration for a corporation or partnership.
- BIR — sertipiko ng BIR. BIR certificate of registration and the return that covers the months on the statement.
- Titulo — Transfer Certificate of Title. Registry of Deeds title in your name or your spouse’s. A parent’s title is not yours.
Visitor visa (from outside Canada) — Philippines: 21 days
On September 22, 2026, IRCC's processing-time tool showed 21 days for Visitor visa (from outside Canada) when the country is Philippines. The tool updates weekly. 21 days is an estimate, not a date IRCC owes you. Add the biometrics appointment and the time for the passport to come back.
What Canada charges — Philippine peso on September 28, 2026
IRCC charges Canadian dollars. The PHP column is the ExchangeRate-API mid-market rate on September 28, 2026: ₱44.10 per CAD. A card issuer or a money changer will not use this rate. Confirm the CAD figure on the IRCC fee list.

A first-time applicant who must give biometrics pays CAD $185, about ₱8,159, before any visa-application-centre service charge. Trip funds are a different test. The fee is not the funds.
The test does not change by country
Whether you will leave Canada is IRPR section 179. That rule is the same for every passport. Read the letter, change the file before you pay again, and treat a lump and weak ties as their own pages. This page is only the local paper.

A tax declaration shows someone is paying tax on a property. The title is what shows who owns it. If the letter is about ties, send the title in your name or your spouse’s name.
Does my parents’ house in the province count as a Philippine home tie if my name is not on the title?
Not unless your name or your spouse’s name is on the title.
