A Ghanaian salary is the SSNIT statement, not the ORC certificate

A social-security contribution statement on a dark desk, beside a closed passport and a silver pen
Summary: Upload the SSNIT contribution statement, the payslips, and the employer letter. The ORC certificate is not this page. On the worked payslip the net is GH₵6,142.50 a month, and six months of that net is GH₵36,855.00, which is CAD $4,471.28.

A Ghanaian employee and a Ghanaian director do not upload the same paper

An employee’s third-party record is the SSNIT statement: the employer’s name, the month, and the contribution. The worked gross is GH₵6,500.00. The employee contribution printed on that payslip is GH₵357.50. Net is GH₵6,142.50. The bank credit should be that net.

The ORC certificate shows a company you own. That is the Ghana refusal page. If you are not a director, do not lead with it.

Worked Ghanaian salary, not a company extract

One employed payslip. The SSNIT line is the amount printed on it. CAD uses the ExchangeRate-API mid-market rate on 28 September 2026.

Worked example, not a court file and not your salary. CAD uses ExchangeRate-API on 28 September 2026: GH₵8.242601 per CAD. A bank will not use this rate. The statement is SSNIT.

A job is one of the home ties an officer checks. There are others.

If your file does not show the other ties, the officer can refuse you again. The free analysis shows the evidence that your file must have.

The employer letter has to name the day you are back at the desk

The worked letter for this Ghanaian salary approves leave and says the person is back at work on 18 August 2026. A letter that only says “employed” does not show a date the officer can put next to the trip.

The letter is on the employer’s letterhead, names the job, and matches the name on the payslip. Leave dates that overlap a one-way ticket do not help.

The ORC certificate does not prove a salary

ORC is the company register. Payroll is SSNIT plus the payslip. The Ghana refusal page is the business file.

A job is one factor. It is not the whole test

Home ties on a Ghanaian file are still the Lands Commission search, the children who stay, and a dated reason you are back. Those papers are on the Ghana home ties page.

Whether you will leave Canada is IRPR section 179(b). The salary shows income and a place to return to work. It does not replace property in your name, children who stay, or the funds sentence on the letter.

The test does not change by country

Whether you will leave Canada is IRPR section 179. That rule is the same for every passport. Read the letter, change the file before you pay again, and treat a lump and weak ties as their own pages. This page is only the local paper.

Ghana only. Do not send another country’s registration.

Proof of employment Canada visitor visa Ghana FAQ

SSNIT has no contributions in my name. Can the employer letter stand alone?

The letter and the payslips are what you have. Say the contributions were not remitted. Do not invent a SSNIT printout.

I am a director of a Ghanaian company and I also draw a salary. Which paper goes first?

The salary is this page. The company extract is the Ghana refusal page. The bank credit has to be labeled as payroll or as a company receipt, not both.
